Muzio Clementi was born in Rome in the year 1752. His father was a worker in gold and silver, who recognized the uncommon musical talent of his son and put him under the instruction of Buroni, a Roman Organist. Other teachers were Cordicelli, Carpani and Santarelli. When he was nine years old he disharged the duties of a church organist, and by the timethat he was fourteen he was famous in his native town as a performer and a composer.

Suite – An Instrumental composition consisting of a succession of fairly short, suitable dance movements in the same key and were sometimes linked thematically. The dances included are usually
- Allemande
- Courante
- Sarabande
- Gigue
Optional movements such as Gavotte, Bourree, Minuet and Passepied were sometimes added.

Ralph Vaughan Williams – British composer, a leading figure in the 20th century revival English music. He developed a personal and English idiom, strongly influenced by English folk music and music of the Tudor period. Among his main works include Fantasia on a Theme of Tallis, 9 symphonies, concertos for piano, violin and oboe, operas, choral works, chamber music and songs.

(1813 – 1901)
The greatest of the 19th century Italian Opera composers. His first opera – Oberto was performed when he was 25. Other operas include Rigoletto, II Trovatore and La Traviata etc. His later operas – Otello and Falstaff show a symphonic style and Wagnerian influence.
