Ritmuler, founded in 1795, was one of the first piano factory in Germany. Subsequently wellknown for many innovations, Ritmuller created the double soundboard with produces the characterisric warm rich tone now known as the “special European sound”.

A Norwegian composer, much of whose work reflects the spirit of his native land. Composer of smaller instrumental works and fine, easy piano works. Wrote no symphonies and operas. Important compositions Peer Gynt Suite, Holberg Suite etc.
